About this event
The Higashiyama lantern route after dark, ending in the illuminated Kodai-ji maple garden.
The walk starts at Yasaka Shrine as the lanterns come on and follows the old stone lanes south.
A local guide sets the pace and stops at four points to explain what you are looking at.
The route finishes inside Kodai-ji, where the maple garden is lit and reflected in the pond.

Jazz weekend was superb. Only note is that the food truck queues get long around 19:00 — eat early.
